The Lyyra students cards are ordered online by the students themselves.

1. Pay the Student Union fee (in cash in the Student Union's office / by bank transfer from either Finnish or international bank account / through the WebOodi system). Print out the payment details or save the receipt of the payment for future reference.

Note: Lyyra Student cards can be issued only to the members of the Student Union.

If you have paid the Student Union fee through the WebOodi system you can skip step 2

2. Visit the International Office to show the receipt/print out of the paid Student Union fee in order to get your status in the system Oodi system changed to an attending student. You will also receive a certificate of attendance including the information of the paid fee.

Note: Make sure that your status in the Oodi system will be changed to “Läsnäoleva” which means Paid & Present, otherwise your card application will not pass the automatic check made between Lyyra and Oodi systems.

3. Go to the Lyyra web page, available at www.lyyra.fi, and start the registration process.

(Digital passport style photo required. If NOT paying in cash Finnish bank account with internet banking required)

Start by clicking Order Card -button within bright purple and turquoise square stating Register and order Lyyra Card, which is situated in the upper left corner of the first page.

Fill in the information required in Registration -page. Please make sure that your email address is correctly spelled and that the email address is one that you are using regularly, so you can be contacted quickly in case of any problems with the application.

Wait until you receive a confirmation email from Lyyra to the email address you've registered. Click on the activation link included in the email and continue registration by logging in with your email address and password.

Fill in the information required in Personal Information -page. Please note that your name needs to be spelled exactly in the same format as it is in the Oodi system, otherwise processing your card application will take more time.

Choose either Lyyra card (valid only in Finland) which costs 17 € or Lyyra-ISIC card (Lyyra including ISIC feature which is the only internationally recognized student ID) which costs 37 €.

On the page 5 of the Registration check your name and student number. Also mark the Level of your studies as Undergraduate. Then upload your photo which should be

- In JPEG format.

- Passport style photo of your face in the upright position.

- The photo needs to be minimum of 245 X 300 px.

- The photo is needed for recognition which means your face needs to completely visible and the picture needs to be focused on the face.

- Accept the terms and click Next.

Preview the card and click Seuraava.

When paying for the cost of making the card

If you want to pay in cash in the Student Union Office click Bank transfer and Ready at the bottom of the payment detail page, next click Palaa Lyyraan on the Summary page.

OR click on your bank's logo and pay the card fee with your internet banking service keys.

The registration of your card application is now complete. If you wish you can write down your order ID mentioned on the page for future reference.

Those who want to pay the card fee in cash, need to visit the Student Union Office to make the payment of 17 € or 37 €. Please make sure that your card application will be marked as paid in the Lyyra system, otherwise your card will not be made. Those who paid the card fee through their internet banking service can skip this step.

When the card is ready an email confirming it will be sent to the email address you've provided. After receiving the email it will take 3-7 days before your card is ready to be picked up from the Student Union Office. The office is open from Tuesday to Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm.
